OPTIMISATION OF HULL FORM OF OCEAN-GOING TRAWLER

This paper proposes a method for optimising the hull form of ocean-going trawlers to decrease resistance and consequently reduce energy consumption. The entire optimisation process was managed by integration computer-aided design computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in CAESES software. Resistance simulated using CFD solver STAR-CCM+. trawler investigated under two main navigation conditions: trawling design. Under condition, modified Lackenby optimised NSGA-II algorithm Sobol + Tsearch algorithm. bulbous bow changed free-form deformation method, NSGA-Ⅱ. best is obtained comparing ship various schemes. Towing experiments were conducted measure before after optimisation, thus verifying reliability results. results show that proposed can effectively conditions.
